| Daisy Duke and Cooter (Catherine Bach and Ben Jones) to Appear at Carlisle Chrysler NationalsThe Carlisle PA Fairgrounds welcome a pair of stars from the Dukes of Hazzard as part of the 22nd Carlisle Chrysler Nationals, July 6-8. Spending a weekend at Carlisle will be Catherine Bach and Ben Jones, Daisy Duke and Cooter respectively.
By: Carlisle Events Bach is famously known for her role on the long-running CBS program the Dukes of Hazzard, due in part to her eye catching looks, country girl charm and namesake Daisy Duke Shorts. Bach, now 58, has appeared in multiple films and TV programs, beginning with 1974’s “The Midnight Man” alongside Hollywood icon Burt Lancaster. Other credits include “The Love Boat,” “Cannon Ball Run II,” “African Skies” and most recently “Chapman.” Joining Bach will be fellow Dukes cast member Ben Jones. Jones appeared in 142 episodes over the course of the shows run as Cooter Davenport – Hazard County mechanic and friend of the Duke family. Jones acting career has spanned five decades, but took a political detour following the end of his run on the “Dukes of Hazzard.” From 1989-1993 Jones served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Georgia’s 4th District. During that time, Jones won re-election in 1990. Most recently, Jones appeared in an episode of the TV show “Surface.” Bach and Jones make the fifth and sixth members of the show to appear at Carlisle. Others include James Best (Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane), John Schneider (Bo Duke), Byron Cherry (Coy Duke) and Christopher Mayer (Vance Duke). Bach and Jones will appear together throughout the weekend. While their appearance schedule and on grounds location is to be determined, each will be on site to sign autographs, pose for photos and meet fans all three days.
