Vance Patterson officially files to run in the 11th Congressional District of NC

March 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Burke County resident and businessman, Vance Patterson, officially filed in Morganton with the N.C Board of Elections to run for the 11th Congressional District.
Patterson was joined by a group of supporters that have been following him since early last year when he began campaigning throughout the district.
“I am a business leader with a jobs plan that has proven to be successful in my own companies. It is this plan that I will take to Washington, and that I will utilize in bringing jobs back to Western North Carolina,” Patterson stated. “I believe in America, and more importantly, I know that we have a jobs crisis in Western North Carolina and with the work ethic and our way of living, together we can accomplish putting WNC back on the map with job creation.”
Vance Patterson brings to this campaign thirty-seven years of business leadership experience; having started sixteen companies and currently owns and operates four.
“In addition to our jobs crisis, we must limit the size of government, reduce spending, cut taxes and balance our national budget. I plan on addressing all of these from a business standpoint and not from a political view. We must cut certain programs and remove Czars first, and then we can move forward in trimming the excess baggage. I know how to do all of this because I have had to do it in my own businesses.”
Patterson is running in the 11th District of North Carolina, which encompasses 17 counties including his hometown of Morganton in Burke County.  His campaign is founded on “Jobs and Prosperity NOW, we don’t have to wait.”
The filing deadline for this campaign is Thursday, February 29th at noon, with the Republican primary on May 8th.
