World XTL 12 Summit Focuses on XTL as a Monetisation Option

The World XTL12 programme is to focus on XTL as a long term monetisation option, along with key focuses on North America as a New Frontier, Realising XTL Potential and Enhancing the XTL Value Proposition.

Feb. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- The World XTL 12 Summit programme will focus on the commercialisation of XTL technology, and the future of the XTL industry as a long-term monetisation option. Taking place on 21–23 May at the Waldorf Hotel in London, UK, the agenda will also include an executive briefing outlining the latest developments in the XTL industry and what makes XTL an attractive investment.

A key discussion this year will be North America as the New Frontier. The session will focus on the potential of America becoming a new frontier with the recent increase in resource abundance. Aubry McClendon of Chesapeake commented that “commercial scale gas to liquids or GTL facilities will be in operation in the U.S. by year end 2016”. Other session topics include Realising XTL Potential; Enhancing the XTL Value Proposition; International Projects and Opportunities; and Strategies for a Sustainable Future.

Key Speakers for this years Summit include: Paul van Rijssen, Senior Business Development Manager XTL, Shell Exploration & Production B.V; Martin Considine, Vice President Btu Conversion, Peabody Energy; Riaan Welgemoed, Operations Support Manager, Technology and Operations, Sasol Synfuels International (Pty) Limited; Guy de Kort, VP XTL, Shell Projects and Technology; Don Pierson, Senior Director of Business Development, Louisiana Economic Development; Iain Baxter, Director of Business Development, Compact GTL and Anton Punt, Lead Business Analyst, ORYX GTL.

The World XTL Summit has been championing the industry for over a decade and is the place to keep updated on progress and opportunities in gas, coal and biomass to liquids. Henry de Wet of PetroSA commented in 2011 that “this event is recognised as the showcase for the XTL industry”.
