Polar U636 Compact Counter Refrigerator King MS901 Product Alternative Comparison

Feb. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- For a while now, these counters have appeared under several brand names. These fridge counters are available in 2 or 3 door versions. Polar U636 and the King MS901 are made to the same specifications. Or so it would seem.

The Polar model is made in China using 403 stainless steel, whilst King model is 304 stainless steel for both the inside and outside. But surely stainless steel is simplly stainless, right? Not so. 403 is a lower grade and contains higher elements of nickel which is more prone to rust. 304 stainless is the highest grade of stainless available and is a more pure form. We ace found that 403 stainless will generally have a lifetime of 2 years before rusting starts. 304 lasts a lot longer.

Dimensions of these 2 models is generally the same. 900w x 700d x 850h. Both have same compressors and temperature controllers.

The Polar brand is imported by Nisbets And also goes under the brand of Apollo which was introduced by Nisbets to cover up the bad reviews of Polar they had due to high breakdown rates. King is imported by EasyEquipment. Both are distributed by wholesalers to, so you can get better prices.
