Demand for Small electric fryers hots up

Feb. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- While there is a huge push by manufacturers of fryers to sell high capacity fryers, there are a lot of smaller caterers that need professional cooking performance with more modest oil and frying capacity, according to Michael Shaw, marketing director of EasyEquipment Ireland
Says Shaw: “We manufacture at the high capacity end with a twin-tank eight-litre fryer, but we regularly get asked for a smaller table-top fryer. That is why we have launched the Modena TEF4 with a single four-litre tank. That’s all the frying capacity smaller businesses need, but they still want powerful heating elements to keep the oil at frying temperature and deliver crisp fried food.”
“It’s not just pubs and cafes that are looking for something small and powerful, but hotels that need to do food service in the bar or for bedrooms after the main kitchen has shut down. It takes chefs to operate the big fryers, but any member of staff can be trained to use a small table-top fryer after-hours,” adds Shaw.
