Sutter Health Salutes Physicians Named as Top Doctors in Marin and San Francisco

Feb. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Almost 250 physicians at California Pacific Medical Center, Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, and Novato Community Hospital – all part of the Sutter Health network - have been named on the prestigious list of [415] Top Doctors 2012 by Marin Magazine.

The list results from polling more than 4,000 doctors in San Francisco and Marin counties, asking them to vote for the physician or physicians they considered the best in their field. All the doctors on the list were both candidates and voters in this peer-to-peer poll, and were allowed to cast as many votes as they liked, across all specialties. The only limitations were not being allowed to vote for themselves and only voting for the same doctor once.

“This is a great testimony to the breadth and depth of talent that we have at our hospitals throughout the West Bay,” said Mike Cohill, CEO of Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation. “This is particularly gratifying because these physicians are being honored by their peers, people who really know what it takes to be a great doctor. When the results were tallied, approximately 600 doctors with the highest vote counts were included on the [415] Top Doctors 2012 list. Doctors from CPMC, Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, and Novato Community Hospital comprise 244 of that 600 and specialize in everything from allergy and immunology to kidney transplant.
