Tail Gate Yappy Hour to support DFW Rescue Me

Feb. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- DFW Rescue Me is the guest of honor at a “Tail Gate” themed Yappy Hour on Friday, February 17th, 2012, to support pet rescue efforts. The Yappy Hour, hosted by Pete and Mac’s Irving, TX resort will wrap up a month long football themed supplies donation drive in support of DFW Rescue Me. Supply donations support the on-going care of pets, allowing cash donations to be funneled toward veterinary bills or other operations costs.  

Each year 5-7 million animals enter shelters nationwide.  3-4 million of those are euthanized, simply because no one wants them (ASPCA). DFW Rescue Me is an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non profit organization whose goal is to reduce the number of animals euthanized in Dallas.  Their goal is possible via spaying / neutering, adoption programs and educating the community about responsible pet ownership. Because the group is foster based and  is run solely on private donations, they need people who are concerned about the welfare of animals to join their growing ranks of supporters.

DFW Rescue Me is delighted to continue our partnership with Pete & Mac’s Pet Resort Las Colinas.  Joining in this great event with Pete & Mac’s will help us enhance our presence in the Dallas Metro Area and assist us in placing even more of our pets into their forever homes.

Pete and Mac's Pet Resorts in Las Colinas will continue to accept supplies donations for DFW Rescue Me through the Yappy Hour on Friday. Please join us, at Pete and Mac’s Recreational Resort for Pets in Irving on the grounds of the Las Colinas Equestrian Center, on February 17th from 4 – 7pm, for Tail Gate worthy drinks and hors d’oeuvres and a chance to win some great prizes.  Canine attendees will enjoy special pet friendly treats and canine companionship. A $5 donation at the door gets you, and your dog, into the party. Raffle tickets are available now; you don’t have to be present to win. All donations at the door and raffle ticket sales go to DFW Rescue Me. Your very small donation can, and will, save pets’ lives. And socialization is good for your dog, and for you.
