CORE Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new works by David Carriere and Sara Everett, running 2/29/2012 through 3/31/2012, with an opening reception at the March 1st Pioneer Square Arts Walk {6-9 pm}, and an Artist Reception Saturday, March 10th, 4-6 pm.

Carriere, a long time cabinetmaker and Everett, a mixed media painter, will fill the gallery space with woodworks and artworks on wood evoking the Northwest and travels beyond.

David Carriere's work consists of folding or otherwise collapsible Campaign furniture with a Northwest Coastal ethos.

Sara Everett's newest series “Cultivation and Release” combines flora and fauna into carved and stained wood panels. Loosely based off of known proverbs, her paintings hint at human stories of laboring towards an endeavor, letting go upon completion and the choices that must be made along the way.

David Carriere is a long-time cabinetmaker and Seattle resident. He is an instructor at Seattle Central Community College's evening woodworking program and although he has been making cabinets and furniture for thirty years, this will be his first fine art show.
