Kingsway Business Park Hosts Successful Showcase Event

Feb. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- 20th January 2012 Rochdale – Kingsway Business Park has hosted a successful breakfast event to showcase the facilities and property on offer at the park.

Held inside JD Sports’ new 616,000 sq ft (866,000 including mezzanine space) distribution centre, the event was attended by almost 30 key northwest property agents, who took the opportunity to receive an introduction to the office and industrial opportunities on Kingsway from Robert Grafton, Development Director, Wilson Bowden Developments.

An exclusive tour of the facility, the largest to be built in the North West in the last ten years, also took place which allowed the attendees to view for themselves the flexibility of design and build options on Kingsway Business Park, http://www.kingsway-business-park.com/, the high quality finish and fitting and the quality office space.

Particular features highlighted during the tour included the automated systems such as mini load cranes, conveyor systems, control stations and spiral conveyors, as well as the associated external gatehouse, service yard, HGV parking, car parking and landscaped areas.

ASDA has claimed its place on the park, with construction having recently started on their new 650,000 sq ft chilled distribution facility. As well as picking chilled and frozen products and distributing them to local stores, the Service Centre will allow ASDA to return re-usable delivery equipment and waste packaging for consolidation and off-site recycling, helping the company on its way to its target of sending zero waste to landfill.
