The U.S. Green Building Council, a non-profit organization committed to establishing a sustainable nation through energy-efficient and energy-saving green buildings, utilizes a LEED green building certification system that rates the design, construction and operation of green buildings. Under this system, builders can obtain up to 19 LEED points by using Somfy products to reduce light pollution, improve indoor environmental quality and enhance innovation in design, energy and atmosphere. In addition to being a member of the USGBC, Somfy has also become an allied partner of the American Institute of Architects. As an AIA member, Somfy will contribute towards their continuing education initiatives.
