Follow on Google News | New Mexico Volunteers Needed to Host Int'l TeensMake a difference in a young person's life by sharing your heart and home to an international high school exchange student.
By: SHARE! High School Exchange Program SHARE! host parents are asked to provide a bed, meals, as well as friendship, understanding, and a genuine desire to share their lives for just 5-10 months with a youngster from overseas. Volunteers are able to specify if they would like to host a boy or girl as well as the country their student is from. You will be able to review student applications and choose your own student! All SHARE! students are screened, speak English, are covered by medical insurance and have spending money for their personal expenses. SHARE! exchange students attend the high school closest to their host home. SHARE! host families are diverse! We accept single adults and parents, married couples with and without children, seniors and empty-nesters. Host families can also be two-parent households with young children or teenagers, families with adopted children, as well as foster parents. To receive information and view available student applications, contact Yvette Coffman at SHARE! Southwest at 800-941-3738 or visit http://www.sharesouthwest.org. # # # Since 1974, the SHARE! High School Exchange Program sponsors approximately 750 high school exchange students to experience life in the United States by living with Host Families and attending local public high schools for a semester or academic year.
