“It is an honor to have been selected to serve our state’s QUEST Medicaid program,” said Erhardt HL Preitauer, president of ‘Ohana Health Plan. “With this award, ‘Ohana becomes the only health plan in Hawai‘i to provide QUEST, QExA, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug Plan services on all six islands. We are grateful for this privilege and look forward to working with the state to increase access and quality of care for Hawai‘i’s residents.”
‘Ohana is one of five health plans selected to serve approximately 230,000 QUEST beneficiaries. The QUEST program serves non-disabled children, pregnant women and adults younger than 65 years old by providing Medicaid state plan benefits through comprehensive managed care plans.
Services are expected to begin on or about July 1, 2012, and ‘Ohana will coordinate medical, behavioral and pharmacy services for members across the entire state. The award is conditioned on the execution of a definitive contract.
