KDVG Promotes Jeffery A. Meyer and Claudia A. Costa to Partner

Jan. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Kaufman Dolowich Voluck & Gonzo LLP (KDVG) proudly announces the promotion of Jeffery A. Meyer and Claudia A. Costa to Partner.

Mr. Meyer, of KDVG’s Long Island office, has been with the firm since March 2005. His practice includes the full spectrum of labor and employment law matters on behalf of management. He has substantial litigation experience defending federal and state wage and hour collective and class actions, as well as audits and investigations before the U.S. Department of Labor and New York State Department of Labor. Mr. Meyer has successfully negotiated and litigated individual plaintiff and class action wage and hour lawsuits, in addition to defending of employment discrimination claims and ERISA lawsuits before federal and state courts and agencies. Finally, Mr. Meyer advises employers in all matters related to the union organizing and collective bargaining processes and frequently appears before the National Labor Relations Board.

Prior to KDVG, Mr. Meyer worked for the National Football League Players Association where he was involved with the collective bargaining agreement’s injury grievance and non-injury grievance procedures, salary cap issues and player agent regulations.

Ms. Costa is a valuable member of KDVG’s New Jersey office. She concentrates her practice in several areas, including, labor and employment law on behalf of management, professional liability defense for all lines, and general commercial litigation.

Ms. Costa’s experience includes a wide variety of business and employment matters, including breach of contract and fiduciary duty, fraud, shareholder suits, copyright and trademark infringement matters. Ms. Costa interned for the Honorable H. Lee Sorokin at the District Court of New Jersey and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York in the Securities and Commodities Fraud Unit.
