• Second-time in the UK that an event of this type has women of colour as the focus
• Global publisher; Pearson plc. (Financial Times, Penguin Books) sponsors the February 2012 edition of the I’mPOSSIBLE. conversation
• Tameka Empson (‘Kim’ in East Enders) returns as host
• Social enterprise; I’mPOSSIBLE. gives a unique platform for women of colour in Britain to highlight their achievements and life stories unapologetically

After the runaway success of the first-ever event; the second I’mPOSSIBLE. conversation is due to take place on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 6pm at Pearson plc. London.  It is a series of intimate events in central London which bring various British women of colour together to share their stories on ‘how they became POSSIBLE’.  The event is the lovechild of TV programme; ‘Inside the Actor’s Studio’ and Oprah’s Legend’s Luncheon with a UK twist.  The audience poses questions to the panel via the host and an exhilarating experience of learning and sharing in order to find solutions to life’s quirks on their own terms.

The return of Eastenders funny woman; Tameka Empson (‘Kim Fox’) as the event’s host and an awe-inspiring, five-strong panel including company secretary and chief legal head of Waitrose and John Lewis; Margaret Caseley-Hayford.  Grange Hill and East Enders actress and now author; Michelle Gayle, Hackney Vicar and chaplain to the speaker of the House of Commons; Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkin, resident dentist on Channel 4’s ’10 Years Younger’ and clinical director of London Smiling dental practices; Dr Uchenna Okoye and the first black female consultant orthopaedic consultant; Samantha Tross participation all further validate the importance of this event.

Simone Bresi-Ando, founder of I’mPOSSIBLE said: “To return the second time round, due to demand and the positive impact it left on our audience and panellists; means that I’mPOSSIBLE is serving a very real need of giving balance to the representation of the UK’s women of colour.  I’m delighted to produce platforms which empower, inspire and help the exchange of learning between a group of women whose life stories and achievements often go unnoticed. It’s a positive celebration open to all to see, enjoy and become inspired from.”

I’mPOSSIBLE is fast becoming a trusted advisor, commentator and distributor of news and opinion from the British woman of colour’s perspective.  In October 2011 alone, over 100 thousand hits were received to the I’mPOSSIBLE website and numerous comments made on our #TalkingTuesdays Twitter hashtag where we pose questions around the day’s current affairs.  I’mPOSSIBLE helping women of colour in the UK, define success on their own terms with a number of empowering tools.
