Jan. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- HOBOKEN, NJ -- With many NYC and NJ couples opting to have their wedding ceremony on-site at their venue, many are choosing bridal processional alternatives to the traditional "Here Comes to the Bride" and "Canon in D." Everything from Ingrid Michaelson to Eddie Veder to One Republic covering Beyonce's "Halo."

"More and more, I'm asked to play unique, eclectic but totally appropriate songs for the bride's walk down the aisle.  Recently, I played Johnny Cash's "Rose of My Heart" which is a song I've never heard. It was a song the bride's father sang to her as a little girl.  He was teary-eyed the entire walk down the aisle."

Sinclair says most DJs should be able to trim or edit the parts of the song a client likes or cut the weird lyrics. "There are always weird lyrics," he says, "But don't let that stop you from using it.  In this day and age of editing, every song can be customized to make be made appropriate."

There are hundreds of great modern-tracks-with-a-classic-twist from the very popular Vitamin String Quartet.  Or, if you're looking to go back to the classics, the Lumiere String Quartet has great selections.  Both are available on iTunes or Amazon for download purchase.

"I see many indie brides opting for a one-of-a-kind, personal walk down the aisle," Sinclair says, "They'd much rather choose Paul Simon or Sigur Ros or Elvis Costello's "She," than a traditional song."
