By: Kristin Prince Washington, D.C. — The Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) today announced the reaccreditation of Loop Pharmacy & Home Medical in Saint Albans, West Virginia. This accreditation is awarded in recognition of the pharmacy’s continued commitment to meeting the standards of excellence set by PCAB. “Quality compounded preparations are crucial to patients,” said Joe Cabaleiro, executive director of PCAB. “By seeking accreditation through the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board, Loop Pharmacy & Home Medical has shown that they are dedicated to adhering to nationally accepted quality standards when providing compounded medications to its customers. PCAB accreditation is a way for pharmacies to demonstrate their commitment to provide high quality compounded medications to their community.” In order to receive accreditation through PCAB, compounding pharmacies must demonstrate compliance with PCAB’s standards through a comprehensive on-site evaluation and review of standard operating procedures by a PCAB surveyor. Pharmacies are awarded accreditation for meeting or exceeding all PCAB quality standards.
