Gaming Marketplace Launches UK’s First Free ‘Match’ Service for Game Swaps

Jan. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- An online gaming marketplace has today launched a new feature to make swapping games online easier than ever; providing gaming fans with a simple, and completely free, means of swapping their unwanted video games with other users for titles they really want.

The ‘Match Me’ function, launched today by www.Playr2.com, is a free of charge service that automatically matches games owned by members of the Playr2.com marketplace with users who have the game in question in their ‘wish list’. The function therefore ‘matches’ members with potential game swap opportunities, and is completely free of charge.

Members of the Playr2.com marketplace are able to search for, or scan-in, video games they currently own or want to add to their collection using the Playr2.com site or accompanying Smartphone app; whereby the games will automatically be added to their ‘Owned’ or ‘Wanted’ games lists.

With the new function on-site, users can then hit the ‘Match Me’ button whereby Playr2.com will search members' lists for suitable swaps to make with other users. As Playr2.com is constantly updating both trade-in and second hand prices for games, the site will help users to request ‘fair’ swaps, based on similar market prices.

Once a swap is agreed upon with users on-site, they can trade games completely free of charge via the Playr2.com site. Swaps will be shown in the marketplace section of the site, and both members will also automatically be entered into Playr2.com’s monthly and annual prize draws for simply completing a free swap.

The ‘Match Me’ function aims to make updating video game collections as cheap and easy as possible; and is the only site in the UK currently offering the service completely free of charge.

Simon Kilby, Founder of www.Playr2.com, commented on the launch of ‘Match Me’:
