The NYC Center for Mindbody Studies Announces Spring Workshops

Announcing a spring program to focus on bringing writing and poetic insight to inspire mind and body change.

Jan. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Economic uncertainty leaves many people feeling that they need to leave their creativity behind in order to focus on finding work, dealing with bills, or juggling multiple jobs. But creativity is a vital resource that gives people energy, focus, and strategies that can be used to manage stress.

Writer and hypnotherapist Kristin Prevallet will be teaching “TrancePoetics,” a series of four workshops on automatic writing, dream geography, transformative metaphors, and mindbody healing.  Poet and performer Edwin Torres will be teaching “Brainlingo: Writing the Voice of the Body,” a series of four active writing workshops for open minds.

In these workshops participants will learn how to view even the most pressing anxieties of their lives with an expanded awareness --- an inner mobility that comes from creative learning.

WHERE: Center for Mindbody Studies, 292 Fifth Ave (Between 30th and 31st), 4th floor.

WHEN:  Workshops run for eight evenings from March 8 to April 28. Workshops can be taken as a series, or individually. Check the website for details: www.trancepoetics.com/workshops
