Jan. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Working together, NetCom Learning ( and Pima Community College (PCC) have developed a program in which students enrolled at NetCom can earn college credits for NetCom/PCC-approved courses. These courses meet industry criteria and have been thoroughly reviewed and approved per PCC's rigorous academic standards. To earn college credit, students must complete all coursework, pass certification exams, and fulfill application requirements according to PCC guidelines. Students may apply these credits toward an Associate of Applied Science degree from PCC.

"This is an amazing opportunity for us to be able to offer college credits to our clients and students," said Russell Sarder (, Author, Business Magnate and CEO of NetCom Learning. "NetCom Learning's purpose is to promote the value of Lifelong Learning, and this partnership enables us to continue to provide a path of lifelong learning. In addition to in-class or online hands-on training and certification preparation, we are delighted to offer a path for students to get a college degree.

"This partnership will meet the training needs of a large population of student-employees," states Greg Wilson, Manager of National Programs for Pima Community College. "Pima is happy to open its doors to experienced professionals seeking to sharpen their technical skills. This program will offer them opportunities for advancement and a path to earning certificates and a college degree."

Despite a high unemployment rate, the job vacancy rate continues to rise, indicating that there is a skills gap between employees and the potential jobs they could fill. "At NetCom Learning we're continually monitoring the trends and updating the courses to make sure we are offering the most up-to-date courses that students -- and employers-- are demanding. Traditional universities don't have the resources to constantly update their offerings to stay on the cutting edge" Sarder said.
