Comtec strikes up Sweet partnershipTwo Warwickshire companies have teamed up to offer a tasty package which could help businesses crack the international market.
By: Simon Gilbert Tiddington-based Sounding Sweet, which offers high quality audio and video post production and recording services, has joined forces with Leamington-based language experts Comtec Translations to offer firms the chance to produce video and audio marketing materials suitable for customers in foreign markets and international visitors to the area. Comtec and Sounding Sweet came back into contact through the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce after Sounding Sweet was founded by directors Karen Faustini and Ed Walker. Karen had previously worked at Comtec with managing director Sophie Howe. Sophie said the upcoming London 2012 games presented a fantastic opportunity to reach out to customers from overseas markets. “The region will be attracting thousands of international visitors in the build up to, during and after London 2012 – so now is a perfect time to prepare advertising and marketing tools which will reach out better to this international audience,” said Sophie. “The services provided by Sounding Sweet and Comtec are a match made in heaven – especially with the rising importance of new media and breaking into export markets during this time of economic uncertainty. “We are looking forward to working closely with Sounding Sweet and we are confident this will be a fruitful collaboration.” Karen and Ed, who run Sounding Sweet and sister company Looking Sweet, said the studio had achieved early success since starting out as a business. “Sounding Sweet is one of the few recording studios in the Midlands specialising in voice over recording and audio post production” said Ed. “We have recorded Patrick Stewart’s voice for various television and radio adverts, as well as for a recent documentary for the British Museum. “The relationship with Comtec should open many more doors, and we think this service might appeal to international tourist destinations such as theme parks and historic sites as well as more traditional businesses. “We are optimistic that our association with Comtec will help us increase our business further.” Details of the services offered by Comtec and Sounding Sweet can be found at www.comtectranslations.com and www.soundingsweet.com.
