DIY Networking Can Do It For You!

One action we can take in the New Year is to take control of our networking by building our own network of trusted referral partners - DIY Networking.

Jan. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- A few days ago, many of us probably made resolutions for the New Year…

These resolutions most likely revolved around  getting fitter, losing weight, being nicer to the in-laws, building the business etc.  However, we already know how to do most of these things.  If not, there is always your friend, Google, to put you on the right track.

Many of those New Year’s goals are not going to be reached for two good reasons:  There is no written plan or goal to follow and perhaps we are not prepared to hold ourselves accountable in reaching these goals.  Also, life does tend to get in the way!

One action we can take in the New Year is to take control of our networking by building our own network of trusted referral partners - DIY Networking.

Many people spend a lot of time networking by just chatting away with others and exchanging business cards. By doing this, they expect that the people whom they’ve met and exchanged business cards with will eventually pass a referral to them. This mindset is called being reactive which isn’t really viable in today’s economic environment.

Being proactive and accountable in your business networking is a sure-fire way to get results, so act on that New Year’s resolution before it is too late and take charge of your destiny by DIY networking, and save hundreds of dollars in the process.
