Infomercial Company President to Address Inventors Forum

Infomercial Development President, Ben Gage, to discuss the value of Infomercials for “Branding and Marketing” at the January 12, 2012 meeting of the San Diego Inventors Forum

Dec. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- San Diego, CA  – Many product inventors dream of seeing their inventions featured in a television advertising campaign.  With the help of The Infomercial Development Companies (IDC), members of the San Diego Inventors Forum just may see that dream become a reality.

On January 12th IDC President, Ben Gage, will share the secrets of direct response marketing with SDIF members in a presentation entitled “Branding and Marketing with Infomercials”.   Drawing on his 27 years of successful infomercial project development, Mr. Gage will explain what products are suitable for direct response and he will then take the SDIF members and guests through a step-by-step process for development of a direct response marketing campaign for their inventions.

Successful infomercials can generate hundreds of millions of dollars in product sales.  Before any product is chosen for an infomercial marketing campaign, it must meet certain requirements.  As Mr. Gage, explained: “Many successful infomercial products will make the user thin, rich or beautiful.  All direct response products must appeal to the buyer’s desire to improve their life in a meaningful way.”

For products that are not suitable for an infomercial but can be sold through other marketing media, there will also be a discussion of other ways to accomplish “branding and marketing” through the use of Internet and social media marketing and sales to home shopping networks, niche retailers, distributors and catalogs.  This “Alternative Marketing Strategy” can be implemented for less money than an infomercial and often leads to development of a direct response marketing campaign.
