Dec. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- The expected quality varies for different users and customers under various market environments. Consequently, we must move beyond the performed quality assurance activities toward the quality development by considering these quality expectations as a technical problem.
The purpose is to consistent with or surpass the quality by the right choice and implementation of relevant quality assurance activities while minimizing the cost and others risks of project under the restrictions of the program.
To ensure that quality objectives match the QA activities, we need to carry out different measuring in parallel with QA activities. Post-mortem information also should be collected. In-process and post-mortem information should be analyzed with the help of different models in order to provide an impartial quality analysis. Such quality evaluation is used to define the achieved quality purposes and to provide the data for improving the quality.
There are three main categories of quality assurance activities:
Pre-QA activities: Quality scheduling. These quality assurance activities have to be performed before the ordinary QA activities. There are two main types of pre-QA activities in quality planning
•   Identification of specific quality goals
•   Forming a total quality strategy. It includes the selection of appropriate quality assurance activity for execution and selection of the appropriate quality indicators and models for providing feedback, quality analysis and improvement.
In-QA activities: Implementation of planned quality assurance activities and handling found errors. An important part of the implementation of these activities is to deal with detected errors.
Post-QA activities: Quality measurement, analysis and improvement. These quality assurance activities have to be carried out after regular quality assurance activities but not as a part of them. The main goal of these activities is the ensuring in quality assessment and providing feedback so that we can be able to perform possible quality improvement activities and apply different management decisions.
Many of the post-QA activities are executed in parallel with other QA processes http://qatestlab.com/services/delivery-models/our-softwar... which have already begun, but not after their completion. Moreover, pre-QA activities can also meet with the regular QA activities.
Quality planning takes the main place in this quality development process, although the performance of described quality assurance activities http://qatestlab.com/services/service-models/offshore-sof... usually consumes the most resources.
The objectives of quality should be placed so that we can control the QA activities and stop them as soon as quality purposes are reached. Quality assurance strategies must be chosen before we can perform QA activities, assemble data, carry out an analysis and feedback.
There are two types of feedback in this quality development process:
1.   Short-term feedback to the quality assurance activities. It usually provides data for progress tracking, identification of areas and planning activity.
2.   The long-term feedback to the overall quality development process. It has two forms:
•   Feedback to quality scheduling so that necessary corrections may be made to the goals and strategies of quality. For instance, if the actual quality purposes are unreachable, alternative purposes have to be negotiated. Such corrections can be applied in future projects.
•   Feedback to the quality analysis and improvement. For instance, if the model is inadequate and has unstable results, in this case, new or modified model should be used.
