Alan Jarvis releases his 4th in a series of albums

Alan Jarvis is Canadian but was born in London, England.  Like a million other teenagers, he started playing acoustic guitar and singing Beatles songs when he was sixteen.  He began writing songs around the same time and he has now written more than 300.  

He began by performing at solo gigs with just an acoustic guitar, then for many years was a member of a folk trio called "Breakaway" tackling 3-part harmonies on songs by the Eagles, America, Poco and Simon & Garfunkel.  After taking a break to focus on his business career, and a young family, he sang and played lead guitar for seven years in a very successful rock and roll gig band called "Platinum".

Alan Jarvis developed into an extraordinary singer/songwriter/musician and producer.   He writes adult contemporary pop, rock and easy listening songs as well as themes and instrumentals.

On May, 2011 he released his fourth CD, “Moonlight Everywhere”.  This CD is mix of pop, dance and instrumentals with Alan playing all the instruments and singing all the vocals.  The new CD clearly showcases Alan as a songwriter.

“There is a big difference between this album and my three previous ones”, states Alan.  “I wrote every song on this CD.  Until now, I have always included a few cover versions from other artists mixed in with my own stuff but, for the first time ever, I've recorded a whole album of my own music.”

Normally it would take him about a year to write, record and mix a CD with the CD culminating into a treasure trove of glorious music. For the first time Alan had it mastered by Jon Astley in London, England.

Talented singer/songwriter/musician, Alan Jarvis, releases another wonderful Adult Contemporary CD, "Moonlight Everywhere".  Jarvis is certainly a one man band as he not only wrote this entire album, but he also sings and performs all instruments on it.    Jarvis also mixes up the styles on his album as you will hear ballads, instrumentals, and even Pop/Dance grooves.  Starting up the album, the song, "No Sitting Down", catches your ears with its bouncy beat and fun loving lyrics.  The instrumental, "Time Machine", has a soothing melodic melody that flows with a magical tonality.  The title track, "Moonlight Everywhere", swirls with surgery vocals and charming lyrics.  The instrumental, "Clouds", is a beautiful ballad featuring Jarvis deftly playing the soft and delicate piano with an emotive ambiance while the angelic strings gently cascade around the sweet melody.  If you are looking for easy listening music that is fresh and original, then you will thoroughly enjoy the fantastic songs on the album, "Moonlight Everywhere". Alan Jarvis may call this "squishy" but it sure sounds sharp to us. Deep in the fun-rock vein of Steve Miller, "Moonlight Everywhere" starts guitar happy on "No Sitting Down", a blast with bar-band vibe.  Other highlights are the surprising "The End" and the softly bouncy "How In Love We Used to Be".  Aesthetically the only issue is the black and white CD cover which is rather hard to read.  A minor speed bump, though, on a long road of nicely crafted music.

Previous CD’s include “Feathers” which was released in June, 2010.  This CD has eight of his own songs plus seven other well-known cover tunes where he has delivered his own, unique interpretation.  This offering is a nice mix of up-tempo numbers and beautiful ballads. His voice is easy and clear and overall, this is a very tidy and enjoyable album with more than an hour of well-crafted music. You'll hear everything from a solo acoustic guitar and voice to lush arrangements with pianos, keyboards, strings and great harmonies.  

Alan Jarvis is a multi-talented composer whose music was born to grace the entertainment industry through movies, television and radio.  His goal is to license his music through these outlets.
