Shaw Construction Donates to Denver Human Services and Grand Valley Catholic Outreach

Dec. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Shaw promotes company-wide culture to give back to local communities
Denver, Colorado, December 23, 2011 –Shaw Construction partnered with Denver Human Services’ GIVE Denver program to provide food to needy families. Through donations by subcontractors, employees and a Shaw corporate contribution, the general contracting firm raised over $4000 in food gift cards that were distributed to local families through Denver Human Services.  Shaw teams also “adopted” local teens who provided gift lists requesting various personal items. The gift cards and teen gifts where presented to GIVE Denver on December 16.
Partnering with Grand Valley Catholic Outreach, Shaw’s Grand Junction-area employees served a warm meal to local homeless Grand Valley citizens. Shaw purchased the needed food items and on December 21 the general contracting firm’s employees volunteered their time to prepare and serve the noon meal at Grand Valley Catholic Outreach.
