Carter RoboCalls Missourians Encouraging Residents to Contact Journalists for $1000-Christmas Family

Dec. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- ST. CHARLES, MO, December 22, 2011- Mike Carter, candidate for Missouri Lieutenant Governor, Thursday, robo-called Missouri Residents just after lunch urging them to contact local journalists to nominate a $1,000.00-Christmas family.

Carter requested help from Missouri's media last week in selecting a $1000-Christmas family, but the media has thus far snubbed the effort.  Carter is now turning to Missouri citizens to encourage the media to take notice.  "There is definitely a Missouri family that could use a thousand dollars for Christmas, but Missouri's media must play its part."

Carter asks that citizens immediately contact their local journalists to nominate the $1000-Christmas family. There are no strict guidelines for the $1000-Christmas recipient. However, only Missouri journalists can pitch nominees. "Single dads and mothers will be given an edge, but that demographic is not definitive.  Further, it is not necessary that the nominee be destitute.  It may be that the best candidate is one that is doing everything within her/his power to navigate the recessionary climate that is decimating some of our middle class."

If there are no media/journalist pitches for the $1000-Christmas nominee, the $1000.00 Christmas will go un-awarded.

Carter will pay the $1000.00 from his own personal funds.  He says that journalists must pitch nominees before Christmas.


Carter is an Independent-minded Republican who has cast votes for Ross Perot and Ron Paul.  He is a former judge, real estate attorney, Senior Lecturer for the University of Missouri, corporate counsel, Director at the St. Louis Board of REALTORS, and heads up a massive traffic law subsidiary.
