Alien Sci Fi Character Illustrations by Artist Mark Elliott for Dano “Zedic” Movie

Dec. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Artist Mark Elliott was invited by Dano Buzz Entertainment to design a life form alien from scratch.  At first, Mark was puzzled and challenged until he read Karen’s Buckton’s screenplay for “Zedic and the Crimson Born”. The perfect and mysterious alien sci fi story pointed the way for Mark to see through the sheer strength of its intriguing character depiction.

Mark Elliot’s fun began as he imagined how evolution would kick-in and proceed on another planet.  So he came up with two approaches through sketches. One idea held an “insect” or almost “trilobite” basis, another of an imaginary “mammalian” evolutionary tree that made use of an “exoskeleton”.

Producer Dano was a huge fan of Mark’s magical and surreal detailed life-like illustrations and was the first artist that came to mind when bringing the alien Zedic to life.

Karen Buckton, Genetic Scientist turned Screenplay Writer for Zedic says “I  like the appendages in image B, it looks like they could pick up all kinds of sensory information in a various frequencies. The layered nose is interesting too, maybe Zedic can switch different nostril layers on and off depending on the chemical composition of the planet’s atmosphere.”

The artist himself is requesting the public’s feedback and asks that visitors go to the movie's Facebook or Twitter pages to share their thoughts and tell people which image they prefer, either A or B.

The movie "Zedic & The Crimson Born" is set for a 2012 release and is garnering much public attention.  The movie is written by Karen Buckton and stars Gary Ploski as Zedic, Benjamin Panzarino as Nick Madern and Alicia Dupuis as Tallulah Madern.
