San Diego, Are You Ready to ‘Get Fit’?

Dec. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce is launching its first San Diego Get Fit 30-Day Challenge.  The fitness campaign, sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, is to encourage employees and businesses in San Diego to commit to a healthy lifestyle in 2012 and for many years to come.  The challenge will be held throughout the county from January 2nd through January 31st.  

“It is critically important that employees stay healthy to create and sustain a strong and vibrant business community in San Diego,” said Ruben Barrales, Chamber president and CEO.  “We are delighted to team up with Kaiser Permanente to help encourage individuals and businesses to eat healthy and stay active.”

Starting January 2nd, registrants will receive emails with daily activities to complete.  All participants who complete the 30-day challenge by tracking all of their daily activities on the online Activity Tracker will be entered to win one of 30 raffle prizes.  In addition, the top business in each size category will be recognized as a “Chamber Healthy Workplace”.

“The ‘Get Fit’ challenge is a great way to promote healthy lifestyles while bringing some friendly competition to the local business community,” said Barrales.
