| ![]() Cambridge Online’s Movember proves Tash-Tastic fundraiserTwelve staff at leading IT systems and services provider Cambridge Online who came together to form ‘Team Tash’ for the whole of the month of ‘Movember’, raised £1,570 for the Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research.
By: Simon Bennett Team Tash leader at Cambridge Online Marc Johnston remarked on the fund raising drive: “This is the second year Cambridge Online has taken part in Movember and our numbers have swelled from last year, encouraged by the fact that the company agreed to top up all the money we raised by a further 50 per cent. So raising over £1,000 was a major milestone and the resulting tashes are a wonder to behold.” Team Tash were prepared to go to any lengths to raise funds. They even donned ponchos and Mexican hats for one fund-raising drive around the office. “We were greeted with some odd looks on our way to work and customer meetings. It is not every day that you see a dozen every day guys looking like they just walked off the set of Easy Rider,” added Marc Johnston. David Crabb, managing director, Cambridge Online, added: “We encourage these sorts of initiatives by our staff and back them with corporate funding because they all add to the positive atmosphere at work while simultaneously raising much-needed funds for worthy charities.” The resulting moustaches of Cambridge Online’s Team Tash can be viewed at your peril at http://uk.movember.com/ Movember is one of several fund raising initiatives by Cambridge Online staff that the company supports. -Ends- Notes to Editors The twelve members of ‘Team Tash’ included Phil Adams; John Arthur; Edward Bloomfield; David Bovey; Andrew Crinson; Lasitha de Silva; Marc Johnston; John McArthur; Graeme Redhead; Bharat Sahani; Scott Spencer; Mark Thompson A picture is available from Agility PR (contact details below) showing (left to right) Lasitha de Silva, John Arthur, Graeme Redhead, Scott Spencer, David Bovey, Mark Thompson, Edward Bloomfield, Marc Johnston About Cambridge Online Cambridge Online is a leading IT systems and services provider serving mid-sized and enterprise organisations in the UK and overseas.
