Dec. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- After being honored this Fall by the UK Trade & Investment organization with their "Go for Gold" award, the leadership team from EverTrue set their sails for London last month to meet with a wave of entrepreneurs and business leaders in the education sector.

EverTrue provides colleges and independent schools an effective way to engage and track alumni through an innovative mobile app platform.  EverTrue offers schools uplift in alumni data quality and is on the mission to revolutionize the way alumni interact with each other and with their respective institutions.

"Go for Gold" was designed to connect high potential Boston-based startups with UK markets. Acting as representatives from the Boston British Consulate, Brent Grinna, Jesse Bardo and Eric Carlstrom made preparations prior to the event to educate themselves on UK alumni relations and development.

As cited by Brent Grinna, EverTrue CEO and co-founder, "in light of significant cuts to government funding for education, many institutions have been undergoing changes with regards to institutional advancement." Additionally, prior to the trip, Grinna further explained that, "our goal for the trip was simple: we hoped to learn more about the similarities and differences between UK and US institutional advancement."

While meeting with eleven institutions in just five days, the EverTrue team stayed in the historic city. From conversing on international alumni relations matters with Nicola Pogson at Imperial College, to hearing from senior British officials including Lord Green, Minister of State for Trade and Investment, to participating in the first-ever London Entrepreneurs Festival, the team gained plenty of helpful insight on their visit.

When probing the VP of Sales at EverTrue, Jesse Bardo, how the week went he explained that, "it was an incredible time to visit the UK...the intersection of an increasing regional focus on development and our evolution as a company made the trip invaluable."

EverTrue gratefully acknowledges the support of Vice-Council David Hughson and the enthusiasm with which the UK government has helped their company kick off international expansion efforts.

As stated by Grinna, “It’s an honor to participate as a member of this delegation.  It’s clear there is tremendous innovation occurring in London and the UK more broadly, and it’s exciting to see that work on display.  At EverTrue, we believe there is a massive opportunity for business development and channel partnerships between companies in our respective regions.  We hope this delegation will enhance the relationships UK Trade & Investment has helped our company and many others establish over the last several years.”
