| Biofeedback Offered to Schools for Minneapolis Autism CommunityThe Minnesota Biofeedback Clinic offers school biofeedback to the Minneapolis autism community. This type of therapy is shown in research to reduce autism symptoms 60% or more over several months when training brain behavior.
The research shows a 60% reduction in autism symptoms over a period of four to six months and as research trials become longer the hopes are that the changes will also increase. The Minnesota Biofeedback Clinic currently works with families and agencies in the Twin Cities and the Minneapolis autism community to increase the awareness of this recently researched therapy. There have been large studies on what is happening in the brains of children and adults with ADHD, and training brains with rewards using portable brain monitoring and training equipment makes practical application possible with the guidance of clinical research and experience. The Minneapolis autism community will also be the first in the country to have available technologies developed for this therapy in the community. The Minneapolis Biofeedback Clinic does school based and home based work for those with MN State Health Insurance. They work to make the training available as a future tool and the rewards used with children are fun and interesting to keep them engaged during brain training. They plan to expand their services outside of the Twin Cities when possible. End
