Mary Claire Burick of MC Strategy earns Washington Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business Award
Mary-Claire Burick of MC Strategy earns spot in prestigious WBJ program that recognizes the region's most influential businesswomen who are leading and building strong organizations and demonstrating a commitment to giving back to their communities.
Burick was among 25 women selected from nearly 150 nominations to receive this prestigious award. The women were honored during a celebration of the 8th annual Women Who Mean Business Awards at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington DC.

Mary-Claire Burick is a seasoned executive and founder of MC Strategy, LLC, an operations and management consulting firm that works with leaders to successfully manage people, process and change.
Mary-Claire is a natural team leader whose focus is on strategic planning, improving communications and leading change initiatives, while helping executives and managers create and implement systems that produce significant improvements in operational effectiveness.
In her career, Mary-Claire has been Vice President, Washington Operations for Allbritton Communications, managing ABC-7, NewsChannel 8, Irides Web Hosting and POLITICO. Other roles include Operations Manger and launch of the Fox Newschannel, Producer for MSNBC and various roles for Northern Virginia PBS.
She has consulted for The Cleveland Clinic, Walter Reed Army Hospital, The FAA, The 04 Bush Cheney Campaign, Reuters Television, The Homeland Security and Defense Business Council, The American Red Cross, The American Heart Association, The Specialty Hospitals of America, United Medical Center, The DC Chamber of Commerce as well as several area non-profits. Project work includes clients such as The White house for the televised Presidential visit to the Cleveland Clinic, The Discovery Channel and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Mary Claire is an energetic and dynamic public and small group speaker who enjoys connecting with a diverse audience. This skill enhances her project management and facilitation work, allowing her to initiate and integrate change smoothly and effectively, while minimizing the impact to the organization and its employees.
She has served on the board of directors at the Greater Washington Board of Trade, and serves on the advisory board of Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind and is Vice Chair of the Communications Comittee at Women in Technology.
