“Discover Assateague,” “So many of us have a connection with Assateague,” The Berlin print, the third in Sahler’s whimsical “GullFriends™” “Berlin is the quintessential American small town,” Sahler said. “It is entirely fitting that these two charming movies were filmed here to present Berlin to the world.” All serigraphs by Sahler are printed hand in his Salisbury studio using archival inks on acid-free paper. Sahler, 44, is a Salisbury native who graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a bachelor’s degree in visual and performing arts. As a teenager, he studied with maritime artist C. Keith Whitelock. He has created commercial artwork for clients across the Eastern Shore since 1983, and his illustrations and cartoons appeared for more than 20 years in The (Salisbury, Md.) Daily Times. The Arts 4 Clean Bays continues through Dec. 31 at the Berlin Chamber Visitors Center in the “old Post Office” at 14 S. Main St. in Berlin.
