Miller Construction Co. Promotes Three Executive Team Members

Nov. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Miller Construction Company CEO Tom Miller today announced the Florida construction firm has promoted Brian Sudduth, Jeff Slade and Chris Hannaka to senior leadership positions.  The promotions are a key step in positioning the Florida construction firm to grow its presence in Palm Beach County and in new market segments, Miller said.  
         
All three executives are shareholders in the 38-year-old design/build and general contracting firm.  “For more than a decade, we’ve assembled talent, shaped and ‘tested’ the next-generation team that will lead our company in future years,” said Miller.  “The promotions recognize these three leaders’ achievements and their commitment to Miller Construction Company’s focus on earning clients’ trust.”
   
Named senior vice president, Sudduth leads Miller’s Preconstruction team in producing in-depth budgeting and analysis of projects’ site conditions and potential construction systems.   He advises clients on alternate construction techniques and other strategic issues to help them maximize savings before the first shovel of earth is moved.  

Sudduth joined the Fort Lauderdale-based design builder and general contracting company in 2005 and most recently has served as Vice President of Preconstruction.  A Pompano Beach resident, he earned the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional designation, reflecting Miller’s commitment to “green” construction practices. He is a graduate of the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction.
   
Slade has been promoted to vice president – operations manager.  In that role, he will be responsible for managing client relationships, participating in strategic planning, and recruiting talent.  He also reviews and monitors reports regarding financial performance of the company and mentors operations employees.
   
Slade, a resident of South Florida since 1979, joined Miller in 1998 and most recently has served as project executive, overseeing complex construction projects for the office, educational, broadcast and hospitality sectors.  A graduate of the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction, Slade is a board member of the Construction Association of South Florida and is active with the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, the Construction Executives’ Association, the U.S. Green Building Council and Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County and Palm Beach County.  
   
Promoted to project executive from project manager, Hannaka has over a decade of construction experience at the firm, on diverse projects ranging from education, athletic arena/fitness and government buildings to performing arts and digital broadcasting facilities.  He joined Miller in 1999 and is a graduate of Lynn University.   Hannaka is active in Leadership Broward and the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce.
