| Antrobus Village Christmas Market, Fun For All The FamilyOn Saturday 3rd December 2011 Antrobus Village in Cheshire hosts its annual Christmas Market from 11am to 5pm, at Antrobus Village Hall. Entrance to the Christmas Market itself is FREE.
By: Kay Alexander Father Christmas will be arriving at 11.30 on a horse drawn carriage. Visits to his grotto cost £2.50 and include meeting Father Christmas himself, who’ll give each child a wrapped gift. There will be side shows for the children and Mums & Dads, whilst they wait to see the special man. Later on, children will be able to take a ride themselves on Father Christmas’s horse drawn carriage. With around 30 stalls selling gifts, local produce, toys and many different crafts, plus an all day bar and bistro, Antrobus Christmas Market always proves to be a great day out. Heather Sutton, Chairman of the Antrobus Village Hall Committee said “We are really looking forward to our annual Xmas Market again this year; it really is fun for all the family – with Santa’s Grotto, fun and games for the children and of course lots of local produce and craft stalls for the adults to peruse and buy from. Our Village Hall is the perfect venue for this event and we are really proud of the effort our village residents go to, to make this an annual success”. Among the local produce on sale will be chutney, preserves, homemade cakes, Christmas cakes, mince pies, plants, pork, bacon sausages, game Christmas hampers, olives, olive oils, pies and locally grown vegetables. They’ll be Handmade Christmas decorations and Gifts in a Jar including 'Friendship Soup', luxury hot chocolate, chop chip cookie mix, tiny coloured meringues, pickled onions, etc Antrobus Grown Christmas Trees will also be on sale - small ones in clay pots, and tiny decorated ones for putting on tables, plus wreaths. Antrobus Village Hall is in the centre of Antrobus Village, which lies in the beautiful setting of green Cheshire countryside, with Warrington to the north and Northwich to the south. It is however easily accessed from other parts of the County and the North-West, in particular via the M56 motorway and its junction with the A49.
