| Finalists Gear Up for Tri-Rail's “South Florida's Kids Got Talent” on Dec. 10Show to include a special performance by American Idol Season 10 Top 24 Finalist Brett Loewenstern
By: Tri-Rail “We are excited to take the lead in hosting this competition, which will showcase the talented youth here in South Florida,” said Bonnie Arnold, director of marketing, SFRTA/Tri-Rail. “We recognize that children are our future, and we are excited to give them a chance to shine.” The 12 finalists were prepared to take the stage as part of Tri-Rail’s annual “Rail Fun Day” community celebration on Oct. 29, but due to inclement weather, the show was postponed. The contestants will now have the chance to show of their talents in an effort to be crowned the winner of this first-ever competition, and take home the $500 grand prize and four tickets to see Cirque Dreams “Holidaze” The following contestants will compete and put on a show: Nicholas Aquilino, Boca Raton Nicholas Brodeur, Plantation Julia Faris, Christina Harrison and Desiree Scott, Pembroke Pines Brian Inerfeld, Davie Rena Ingraham, Miramar Shelsie Matarrouz, Pembroke Pines Nakisha Paulin, Lake Worth Alyssa Pelaez, Miami Lakes Jessica Schalen, Miami Juliana Schalen, Miami Elizabeth Schwartz, Weston Maggie Wilkinson, Boca Raton Each of the 12 finalists will have the opportunity to perform one song before the winner is selected. Judges, include Brett Loewenstern, American Idol Season 10 Top 24 finalist; Jenn Sierra-Grobbelaar, marketing and public relations director for Cirque Productions; To add to the excitement, American Idol’s Brett Loewenstern will also take the stage, performing an original track “Look At Me Now,” which addresses issues of bullying – a prevalent topic amongst today’s youth. “South Florida’s Kids Got Talent” is free and open to the public.
