Nov. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- On October 26, 2011, The Honorable David A. Katz issued the order for a status conference on the DePuy MDL (No. 2197) that calls together the attorneys who have been appointed by the Court to coordinate the DePuy litigation.

The 11:00am closed conference for the MDL Leadership will be held at the James M. Ashley and Thomas W.L. Ashley Courthouse, formerly the United States Courthouse, at 1716 Spielbusch Avenue, and an open court conference will be held shortly afterward at 1pm.

As Liaison Counsel for DePuy ASR MDL, Attorney Michelle Kranz will be attending the November 22nd status conference in Toledo, Ohio, and she will continue to keep readers apprised of what develops during the open session.

One of Judge Katz’s orders stemming from a previous status conference is requiring the lawyers of the injured parties to submit to the MDL individual client information in the form of a Plaintiff Preliminary Disclosure Form. They must also submit Medical Records Authorizations on each represented client who has undergone or still needs to undergo a hip revision surgery.

Since this order is court-mandated, it is imperative that any patient who has a DePuy ASR hip and needs a revision or has already had a revision turn in this Plaintiff Preliminary Disclosure Form and Medical Record Authorization, if he or she wishes to pursue a claim against DePuy Orthopaedics.
