No more daily emails containing deals you aren't interested in.
By: Dealmageddon.com "I obviously can't speak for everyone here, but I was really getting sick of opening my inbox everyday to find a deal I had absolutely no interest in. I thought there has to be a better way to not only eliminate what is essentially inbox spam, but also a better way to offer specific deals to specific people. I thought of many different ways to go about doing this but ultimately settled on the simplest solution." says Richard. The simplest solution Richard is talking about is having a visitor input their email for an invite to the deal club. Once Dealmageddon.com sends out the invite, the visitor can then verify their intentions to join by clicking on their unique invitation code included in the invite email. Once this is clicked, it will bring them to dealmageddon.com so they may complete the fast registration process and choose what types of deals their personally interested in hearing about. Richard states that once a member has chosen their interest(s), they will only receive an email from them when a deal is secured that closely matches what their interested in. "For example, our members won't receive any spa deals when all they really want to know about are deals on home improvement products. We don't see the point in sending a member a deal that their not the least bit interested in. It's just a waste of their time really." says Richard. I'd have to agree. While their website is not overly fancy or heavily designed, it does what its supposed to. "We're a small start up with limited funds, so while we wouldn't mind a really fancy website, we'd rather focus on getting incredible deals for our members. I'm not sure how much weight people put on design anyways." Richard says, "I think people would be more concerned about their privacy and this is a topic we take very seriously. Our whole business model is based on the fact our members trust us to keep their information private. To even think of trading, selling or giving away our members information would be business suicide. Violating a members trust just isn't acceptable." I think that signing up at Dealmageddon.com is a great idea for everyone. I mean, why not? Richard has let me know that even though they have been online for only 5 days, over 1300 people have registered with just under 1200 people opting to choose their topics of interests instead of choosing the "send me all of the deals" option. Richard states "With this many people signing up so far and with this many people taking a minute to choose what types of deals their actually interested in, tells us two things: One is that people are telling their friends about us and they too are signing up and two; that we may have gotten it right when believing people actually like deals, but deals that they are interested in.
