Anaconda Stores Signs Distribution Agreement With LoopRope™, LLC of Medford, Oregon

Nov. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- INNALOO, Australia – Anaconda outdoor store recently signed a distribution agreement with LoopRope, LLC.  The Medford, Oregon product is scheduled to go on the shelves this month.  LoopRope™ is a revolutionary fastening system that was invented by Jeff Dahl in 2009 as a safer and more convenient alternative to the bungee cord.  It has been picked up by US retail giants Walmart, Camping World and Cabela’s as well as retailers in Ireland, Japan and Lebanon.

“We are pleased to add this item to our product lineup,” said an Anaconda spokesperson about the agreement.  “We like the LoopRope because it’s unique and multi-functional, two things our customers are always looking for when buying hiking and outdoor gear.”

Inventor Jeff Dahl has his hands full keeping up with national and international orders, a good problem to have for a new business in this economy.  "It's kind of amazing (that) it's growing like this in a recession. But then I think, “well shoot, the stuff works, why not?” Dahl said.

Dahl hatched the idea of a knot-free tie down in his garage in Medford after a frustrating trip to the dump.  "I was using knotted ropes, which weren’t versatile enough, and I couldn’t rely on the flimsy bungee cords.  I was coming up with different prototypes, sewing rope together, rope on bungee, bungee on bungee, all these different things," says Dahl.  Eventually his trial-and-error led to the LoopRope™, a shock cord crimped into permanent loops and secured with LoopClips, S-shaped steel biners.    

Anaconda is the first company south of the equator to carry the product.  LoopRope™ is also getting orders from the military quarter.  Product racks were recently shipped to Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona and LoopRope™ will have a booth at the Marine West Trade Show in February.
