-- ER's Hallee Hirsh (Rachel Green), fresh off of performing the lead in Nicholas Brandt's indie feature "Right Next Door" playing opposite Linda Hamilton, has now landed the principal love interest role opposite 90210's Matt Lanter in the Cindy Gustafson's feisty new independent feature, "A Chance of Rain," which Gustafson both penned and is now directing. Filming is underway in Michigan and Africa.
Lanter plays Eric, a young man with a past who, while struggling with his own demons, embarks on a project bigger than life: trying to bring water to a destitute African village. Hirsh plays Vanessa, an art student who catches the eye of Eric who prefers his women to be both intellectual as well as beautiful. The film also stars Eric Tiede.
Repped by Innovative Artists, Hirsh (23) has an extensive list of television and movie credits spanning two decades, including leading roles opposite Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in "You've Got Mail," and Meryl Streep and William Hurt in "One True Thing." She went on to portray significant long running guest starring arcs on both "ER" and "JAG,"and memorable guest spots on "Law and Order,""Judging Amy," Boston Legal," Will and Grace," "Without a Trace,"
"Criminal Minds," "Nip Tuck," "Grey's Anatomy," "Private Pracice,"and many others, before landing a series starring role on the award winning Discovery Kids Teen Drama, "Flight 29 Down" She also guest starred in the pilot episode of "90210" reprising the role of Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez from the parent show. Hirsh graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCLA in the Spring of 2011 where she studied Chinese and Anthropology.
