Can the Packers go undefeated for the rest of the season and win another Super Bowl championship?

Nov. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- With 7 wins and 0 loses the Green Bay Packers are the only undefeated team left in the NFL for the 2011 season. After only seven games, everybody is talking about quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the powerful Green Bay Packers offense. Many sports writers and commentators have already picked Aaron Rodgers as the favorite to win the 2011 NFL MVP award.

The Packers will be in San Diego on Nov. 6 to play the San Diego Chargers. After that they will have 2 home games. The first will be against the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 14 for Monday Night Football and then the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will come to Lambeau Field on November 20. On November 24 with only 4 days of rest, they go back on the road to meet the Lions in Detroit for a Thursday night game.

The Packers opponents for the rest of the season include the New York Giants, the Oakland Raiders, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Bears. They finish off the regular season at home on January 1 with another game against the Detroit Lions. This is definitely not an easy schedule, but with the way that they have been playing, they seem to be unstoppable.

If the Packers can get into the Super Bowl and win again, then Aaron Rodgers will join Bart Starr as the only other Green Bay Packers quarterback to win back to back Super Bowl Championship games. Other quarterbacks that have won two Super Bowls in a row include Bob Griese with the Miami Dolphins in 1972 and 1973, Joe Montana with the San Francisco 49ers in 1988 and 1989, Troy Aikman with the Dallas Cowboys in 1992 and 1993, John Elway with the Denver Broncos in 1997 and 1998, Tom Brady with the New England Patriots in 2003 and 2004, and the great Terry Bradshaw of the Pittsburgh Steelers who accomplished this feat not once but twice. Bradshaw and the Steelers won in 1974 and 1975, then again in 1978 and 1979.

That’s a total of seven NFL quarterbacks that have won back to back Super Bowl games. Can Aaron Rodgers be the eighth? And can Rodgers and the Packers join Bob Griese and the Dolphins as the only two NFL teams in history to have a perfect season by going undefeated in the regular season, the playoffs and the Super Bowl. The answer will come soon enough, stay tuned.
