Oct. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- "We will be working directly with Ohio real estate professionals to help more people achieve the American dream of home ownership," explained Matthew A. Koch, Fifth Third Mortgage senior vice president.

Fifth Third Mortgage and Freddie Mac will host Lending the Way 2012 Housing Outlook, Real Estate & Emerging Technology Forums in Warrensville Heights, Akron, and Westlake November 9-10 featuring three prominent speakers. The forums will provide a glimpse into the future of the local housing market and give real estate agents and other housing professionals the ability to put people into affordable homes.

Among the speakers will be Floyd Wickman, an internationally-known keynote speaker, sales trainer and award-winning author who believes the skills of local real estate professionals will help lead the nation out of the economic downturn.

"Home sales rely on agents to bring parties together to close deals," said Wickman, whose training programs and keynote topics specialize in the many skills necessary to sell a home. "Fifth Third Mortgage and Freddie Mac should be applauded for connecting with area professionals and helping them strengthen their skills to put more people into homes of their own."

Joining Floyd Wickman will be Jean Wiles, a strategic market manager for Freddie Mac, who will provide an in-depth view of the local housing market, and Crystal Thies, known as the LinkedIn Ninja who helps individuals and companies find prospects and grow sales using social media.

"Social media is an ideal way for local agents to connect with buyers and sellers at a personal level and will go a long way towards helping them increase home sales," Thies said.

Koch concluded: "We will offer winning strategies to create more real estate business and expose more potential home owners to fair and equitable buying opportunities. The lending community working in conjunction with area professionals will have a huge impact on the local housing market and, in turn, the national economy," Koch said.
