2012 Gwinnett Relay For Life Welcomes Friends Helping Buford High School Alumni Team

Oct. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Friends Helping Buford High School Alumni, Inc., the top online fundraising team for the 2011 American Cancer Society Gwinnett Relay For Life and the top online fundraising team in the South Atlantic Region for 2011 Relay For Life, has created a team to raise money for the American Cancer Society at the 2012 Gwinnett Relay For Life to be held May 4, 2012 at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds in Lawrenceville, GA. The Gwinnett Relay For Life is the largest Relay For Life in the world.

Friends Helping Buford High School Alumni, Inc. is a Georgia non-profit corporation created to help alumni, teachers and students from Buford High School (Buford, GA) in need due to medical problems. In addition, FHBHSA helps raise money for other non-profit organizations which benefit the Buford, GA/Gwinnett County, GA community. One of these organizations Friends Helping Buford High School Alumni has been proud to support is the American Cancer Society through the Gwinnett Relay For Life.

FHBHSA raised $30,631 for Gwinnett Relay For Life in 2011. For the 2012 Gwinnett Relay For Life, FHBHSA has joined with students from Buford High School and increased the fundraising goal to $50,000. By joining the 2012 Relay For Life effort early, Friends Helping Buford High School Alumni, hopes to be able to expand beyond online fundraising with several events to be held in the months leading up to the Relay, including a motorcycle ride to be held in April. Details will be announced soon.

Friends Helping Buford High School Alumni is presently recruiting team members with connections to the Buford, GA community to help in this effort. FHBHSA welcomes anyone who would like to participate in this effort to raise money for the American Cancer Society Gwinnett Relay For Life.
