By: Hachisoft Corp. “If you have kids (and we sure do), then you know that quality educational distraction is worth its weight in gold.” Said Tyler Edwards, President Hachisoft Corp and father of three, “Hand Painted – Animals pulls together our unique talents into an app we knew our own kids would love and one that we would be proud to share with other families.” Hand Painted – Animals showcases original paintings of over 100 animals. Each watercolor is hand painted by Hachisoft’s resident artist, and the development team’s sister, Mandee Edwards. Hand Painted – Animals’ three game play modes introduces kids to animals from around the world. Children are challenged to pair baby animals and their mothers, categorize animals based on specific traits and characteristics, and find animal matches by memory. “Hand Painted – Animals includes a kid friendly interface, four different developmental levels from lap-sit to hard, and recorded audio instructions and feedback. Even kids that are not yet reading can enjoy with or without help.” said Elliott Edwards, whose two year old daughter was an enthusiastic tester. “But I particularly like the Lap Sit mode. It is great for curling up on the couch and playing together.” Hand Painted – Animals helps young children develop memory, letter recognition and visual identification. Kids will learn animal recognition, animal names, animal classifications and basic biology while playing with animals ranging from those found as common household pets, to animals found in the African plains or the world’s jungles, to animals found on the traditional working farm. The four developmental levels will help children practice concentration, coordination, reasoning and attention to detail and increase re-playability. Caleb Edwards, who oversaw the graphic design, says: “As things progressed, Hand Painted - Animals really began to feel like something you would find in an old-world toy store or in our grandmother’ Hand Painted – Animals is now available in the App Store on iPad or at http://itunes.apple.com/ To learn about all of Hachisoft’s apps, visit http://apps.hachisoft.com Images of Hand Painted – Animals can be found at http://apps.hachisoft.com/ Hand Painted – Animals is the first of Hachisoft’s educational mobile content.
