National Merchants Association launches "Give-it-Back" donation program for merchant fees

Oct. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- National Merchants Association Launches “Give-it-Back” Donation Program
Burbank, California - (October 28, 2011) National Merchants Association (NMA), a nationwide payment processing company dedicated to eliminating the unnecessary fees involved with credit card processing, joins forces with several local charities to “Give-it-Back”.  

With the Give-it-Back program, merchants can opt to donate a portion of their credit card processing fees to one of the local charities that The National Merchants Association works with.  

NMA guarantees that merchants’ fees will not increase as a result of the donation; yet may actually decrease as a result of the Association’s proprietary merchant account optimization process.  

Through the Give-it-Back program, The National Merchants Association provides the contributor with a year-end annual statement of the tax-deductible donation.
Heather Petersen, CEO and founder of NMA, created the Association as an advocacy group for small business owners in 2004.  Today, the Association facilitates transactions for thousands of merchants nationwide and educates business owners on merchant services rules and regulations while reducing fees.  

Today, Petersen announced the Give-it-Back program with this statement: “NMA is proud to serve the communities in which we work and live.  Whether it’s via life-saving blood drives, volunteering at food banks, or donating to charities and deserving causes, helping our community is part of our overall philosophy”.

Petersen has been an avid supporter of Betty’s Foundation, a fundraising group dedicated to Alzheimer’s research.
