Oct. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Take an international oceanic journey with the world’s leading surf photographers and artists in the Happy Days Diary 2012.
Set for launch on October 31, 2011, the Happy Days Diary 2012 combines a practical diary and daily planner with the stoke of surfing, the love of art and the hope for a sustainable planet.

Happy Days Diary 2012 features images by international surf photographers like Ted Grambeau alongside artworks by the likes of Celine Chat, Heather Ritts, Erik Abel, id-iom, James McMillan, Meegan Feori, and the tigapics collective to name just a few.
As the ultimate oceangoer’s companion, the diary features 200 pages of street and surf art alongside international surf spot descriptions, interesting quotes, stories on the environment, weekly to-do lists and holiday dates, and ample space for notes and drawings. Each month the diary also explores a new language via a few key phrases and days.

For Happy Days editor and publisher, Marion Poehland, it’s this combination of elements that makes the diary perfectly geared for the surf traveler – or those who dream of getting away. “Travel has definitely inspired certain aspects of the diary. Especially when you’re traveling, it’s great to have a diary that gives you daily inspiration, a bit of entertainment, but also gives you space to write or draw to keep a personal journal. And if you’re not traveling, getting little doses of foreign languages and learning about new cultures serves as a reminder about all the places that are out there waiting.”
Happy Days Diary 2012 offers somewhere tangible to jot down notes and dreams for the coming year. All environmental issues have been considered, and Happy Days Diary 2012 is a strictly limited-edition run of 1000 copies, printed locally in Australia on FSC certified paper with vegetable based inks and bound with envirokoil made from 95% post consumer waste.

It will be the second edition of Happy Day Diary, with Poehland receiving great feedback on the diary’s debut run in 2011. “People seem to love it – I’ve been getting emails from strangers who tell me how much they’re into it! It’s also made its way around the world. I’ve heard from people who’ve seen it on a boat in Papua New Guinea or in places like South Africa. That’s pretty cool.”
Happy Days Diary 2011 is available for purchase in select book stores, art galleries, surf and eco stores, and online at http://www.happydaysdiary.com
