By: Fine Art Carolina Gallery “What I like best about painting", states Nance, "is bringing a vision into reality. When a piece of art really works for me it seems effortless, and it also demands your full attention. I am interested in what makes up a painting, breaking down the subject into elements of colors, shapes and textures. Finding just the right amount of information to suggest the essence of what I see. I am inspired by many things and love experimenting. I think we all have something unique to offer in what we do and it is very satisfying when someone finds something familiar in what you do.” The David Nance exhibit, Southern Landscapes, runs October 31 to November 26, 2011. The opening reception is Friday, November 4, 2011, 6–9 P.M at Fine Art Carolina Gallery, 116 West Clay Street, historic downtown Mebane, North Carolina. Fine Art Carolina gallery is open Monday - Saturday, 11 A.M. - 6 P.M. and also by appointment.
