Oct. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Strands Studio For Hair, a 1,300 square foot upscale salon owned by Master Cosmetologist, Edie Ciccia, has opened near the intersection of Atlanta Highway and McFarland Parkway, serving clients in Alpharetta, Cumming, Johns Creek and Milton.  

Ciccia, who is licensed in three states, has been doing hair for 28 years.  As a hair color expert, she has been an educator for Schwarzkopf Haircolor, and has received Vidal Sassoon training. “Opening my own salon has been a long-time dream, and I want to exceed every client’s expectations, in a warm, friendly, and comfortable environment,” explains Edie Ciccia.

Washed in several hues of purple, Strands has an upscale feel, yet manages to feel relaxed. Contemporary styling chairs and mirrors are balanced by a fluffy sofa and hand-painted armoire, and the lighting includes accent lights mixed with elegant chandeliers.

Strands features adjustable, pivoting shampoo sinks and chairs, and a color bar, adjacent to 10 styling stations. “We use Schwarzkopf hair color, which is low in ammonia and leaves most hair feeling and looking in better condition after the service,” comments Ciccia.  “We use non-chemical keratin hair straightening, and do permanent texturizing, too.”

Warm led, white led lighting, and fluorescent lighting create a ‘color perfect’ setting, and Climazones are available in the Color Bar for hair color and heat processing.

Strands offers a full line of organic, fragrance- and paraben-free, hypoallergenic Pinnacle make-up and skin care. Complementary make-up touch-ups are available with all hair services. Waxing is also offered. “We use gold standard facial wax NUFREE with Finipil, an antibacterial and micro-bacterial product.  Our clients can also enjoy lavender paraffin wax treatments for hands and elbows,” explains Ciccia.

Associates include Marla Wonner, Master Cosmetologist/Senior Stylist/Colorist, Mary Alice Gallogly, Senior Stylist, Colorist and Make-up Artist; Lori Sollenberger, Salon Coordinator and Apprentice under Ciccia’s Master Cosmetology license, and Amy Ingram, Salon Coordinator.
