Groove For the Cure: Wellstar Health Place hosts Party in Pink Zumbathon for breast cancer

Oct. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Get your heart pumpin’, spirit movin’ & hips groovin’ as you burn calories for this year's Party in Pink Zumbathon® charity event featuring guest Zumba® instructor Amia Freeman.  Join Freeman at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital’s Health Place 300 Kennestone Blvd Marietta on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a 2-hour Zumba Class benefitting the Susan G. Breast cancer ranks second as a cause of cancer death in women. Inspired by the stories of countless breast cancer survivors who relied on their Zumba Fitness classes for physical and emotional support during their fight against the disease, Zumba Fitness today announced there are 600 Party in Pink™ Zumba Fitness classes scheduled in 47 states to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, which promises to raise tens of thousands of dollars for breast cancer awareness and research.

Through National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Zumba Fitness is enlisting its thousands of U.S. instructors to host Zumbathon® charity events throughout the country to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. With more Party in Pink Zumba classes being added to the schedule daily, at least 75 percent of the sales from each ticket will be donated to the organization.


A $15 ticket purchase for the event is requested per attendee, which is your donation benefitting the Foundation.
