Oil and Gas Cyber Security Forum

Oct. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- McAfee told the BBC that 5 oil and gas companies had confirmed that the attacks took place, and the attackers were looking for documents about oil and gas exploration and bidding contracts.

The source of the attack is 'several locations in China'.

McAfee says that the attackers managed to get control of hosted IT services, and they compromised servers in the Netherlands.
